GEMMACON is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer Design Lead for Second Row Seating to join our Seating & Restraints team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of second-row seating systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, comfort, and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seating solutions that enhance the passenger experience in GEMMACON's cutting-edge vehicles.   This position offers the opportunity to work with the top automotive brands in the world.

- Lead the design and development of second-row seating systems, ensuring alignment with performance, safety, and ergonomic standards.   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including interior design, manufacturing, and suppliers, to integrate seating solutions seamlessly into vehicle architecture.   - Conduct design reviews and utilize advanced simulation tools to validate seat performance, durability, and safety compliance.   - Oversee the selection of materials and manufacturing processes to optimize weight, cost, and quality of seating components.   - Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the team.   - Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in automotive seating to drive innovation in design and functionality.  

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.   - 8 years of experience in automotive seating design and development, with a focus on second-row seating systems.   - Proficiency in CAD software and experience with design validation tools.   - Strong understanding of automotive safety standards and regulations related to seating systems.   - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
